Valencia de Don Juan (Spanish pronunciation: [baˈlenθja ðe ðoŋ xwan]; Coyanza in Leonese language) is a municipality located in the province of León, Castile and León, Spain. According to the 2004 census (INE), the municipality has a population of 4,165 inhabitants.

It's well known by its medieval castle.

Originally named Valencia de Campos, it was renamed after its 1st Lord and Duke, Infante John of Portugal.

Language

Coyanza City Council promotes Leonese language courses.
